POOF! June and July have disappeared! It was a busy, but an excellent couple of months.
IN-PERSON SERVICES RESUME
At the beginning of June, we were able to return to in-person services, albeit with restrictions. It was pure joy to see everyone again after being away from them for three months. Our attendance numbers are slowly increasing and we have had many, many guests join us. One new person attending services with us started watching online during the quarantine and decided that she wanted to be connected with our church. It’s so cool to see God drawing people!
EME YOUTH CONGRESS
The Europe Middle East (EME) region was scheduled to have its second EME Youth Congress in Copenhagen in July of this year, but COVID. The Regional Youth Commission is a wonderful group of leaders and they made the adjustments necessary to host the event online. Youth groups and churches from all across our region held watch parties, and we know of at least one person who was baptized in the Holy Spirit. THOUSANDS of people were impacted by this event!!
We were asked to help digitally facilitate this event, and all of the broadcasts were actually run through our living room. France’s very own Gertrude Rigueur preached a great message one night which was also filmed in our home. In addition to helping broadcast this event, Baron was able to participate in one of the evening’s live panel discussions about utilizing technology for evangelism.
In September of 2019, we intentionally set up our living room to be multifunctional as a broadcast/filming studio. Little did we know what the future held, but this has been such a huge blessing to have. We have been able to broadcast all around the world from our home. The reach on Facebook alone for the first night of the EME Youth Congress was over 19,000. It is amazing what God is doing through online ministry.
MINISTRY IN NICE
After a couple of years of trying to make arrangements to travel to Nice, we were finally able to make a trip there when travel restrictions were lifted. It was so wonderful to be with the Brainos families and an honor to minister to the church in Nice. What a delightful group of people. We were able to take a couple of days off after ministering that weekend, and it was a treat to experience Nice with our friends. There is much potential in this area if you know someone interested in working there.
Baron has continued to offer multimedia, marketing, and tech consultations to area churches, as well as abroad. As restrictions have changed the way we do ministry, the needs in these areas are much more evident than in the past. He has consulted with pastors and ministries regarding launching digital discipleship and onboarding programs using Learning Management Systems, in addition to helping churches troubleshoot and develop higher-quality internet streams to better connect with people.
Since Apostolic Youth Corps (AYC) trips were unable to take place this summer, many students missed out on the incredible opportunity to be exposed to various missions works around the world. AYC is always a life-changing experience for those involved, and nothing compares to being there in person. However, due to the great leadership of Seneatha Clayton and the AYC team, virtual AYC trips were arranged. Seneatha interviewed various people working in many different fields, and we were honored to be able to participate.
NEGRON FAMILY WITH US
A few weeks ago, after travel restrictions were eased, we were blessed to have the Juan Negron family, pastors in Landstuhl, Germany, in Paris to minister. It was wonderful to see some new faces after being locked up. 😀 What fine Christian people the Negrons are. There was a powerful move of the Holy Spirit as he ministered. It was great to have this incredible family with us!
We deeply appreciate your continued prayers and support. Your support means the world to us, and we are so humbled by it. If there is ever anything that we can do for you or questions we can answer, please do not hesitate to reach out. We enjoy connecting with you.
May the Lord bless you abundantly!
