We are pleased to provide you an update about what is happening in our ministry. During this exciting time, we have been part of many incredible things that God is doing. Missionaries Paul and Darla Brochu left for deputation (fundraising) at the beginning of April. They will be gone until the beginning of 2022. Upon their departure, we took over as the interim pastor of Paris Centre Church. It is a high honor and privilege to serve these precious people!
Bible Study Training
A few months ago, we felt led by the Holy Spirit to conduct a class on how to teach a Bible study. There was tremendous interest and great participation. From this effort, many Bible studies have been taught, including in a Muslim majority nation. From these Bible studies, several have chosen to be baptized. Using online resources, we can have more Bible studies with more people. It’s great! We rejoice with our new friends as they grow in the Word and grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus!
Many Baptisms
In the last few months, we have seen 16 people baptized. One of them received the Holy Spirit in the baptistry. We have baptized former Muslims, Hindus, atheists, Buddhists, and people from various other backgrounds. One of the Buddhists we baptized told us, “I have never felt anything like this before. I feel like I am shaking on the inside.” The man pictured tells us he is an 89yo retired Anglican priest and Holocaust survivor. (Background story is in our last report) It’s really amazing what God is doing. You’re never to old to get a new start!
GATS Seminar
A few weeks ago, at the invitation of Missionary Brad Thompson, I was able to help teach a GATS (Global Association of Theological Studies) faculty development seminar in the UK. This faculty development seminar focused on helping the teaching staff enhance their creative, interactive, and virtual teaching skills. I was tasked with providing instruction for the virtual teaching seminar segment. This class was attended by educators across Europe and was an excellent time of impartation. It was an honor to work beside Dr. Ralph Buie and Missionary Nick Sisco. Thank you to the Kelleys and Harvest Bible College for organizing this tremendous continuing education event! In addition to this training event, my consultation services have continued with various countries and works across France. It is an honor to help others who are in Kingdom service.
Spiritual Warfare Training
Since COVID has restricted so much free travel, it has been a while since we have been able to have in-person guest speakers. That changed a few weeks ago when we had Missionary Dan MacLeod with us to teach a Spiritual Warfare seminar in Paris. It was a very well-attended event as people are eager to understand tactics to develop in this arena. It was an excellent weekend as he also ministered for us in our Sunday service.
Youth Service in the Netherlands
We were able to return virtually to the Netherlands a few weeks ago. We were invited by The Netherlands Youth President, Gabriel Akutei, to speak at a youth service in Hoofddorp. It was a joy reconnecting with our Dutch friends who we have not seen in a long time. This virtual session made us miss them more, and we are eager to return to see them again. God is working in their youth groups, and they have grown significantly!
Daily Corporate Prayer Meetings
Our church continues to hold twice-daily prayer meetings. We have people praying from 5-5:30 am and 9-9:30 pm. This daily prayer initiative of our church has been the strategic key to much of the excellent reports you have been reading. Incredible miracles of healing have taken place, and many have been baptized and Spirit-filled. We have more people who are eager to be baptized. We have seen a significant increase in new attendees, many of whom are native Parisians. The influx of new faces has primarily been younger people. It is exciting to see a hunger for God growing.
Administration
We continue to operate in many Europe Middle East administrative functions and duties. In addition to that, we work with the EME Member Care team to help facilitate the healthy inner growth of our missionaries. We have had sessions about dealing with grief, proper rest, sessions for MKs, men, and women. It is humbling to be part of this pioneering project in our region and organization.
Thanks!
We want to thank each of you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support. We stand in awe at what the Lord has done through your generous giving. Jesus is coming, and we want to run through the finish line! Thanks to each of you for cheering us on. May the blessings of the Lord be upon you in Jesus’ Name!
May the Lord bless you abundantly!
